Our Projects

Some of the current and past projects funded by the Boscobel Community Foundation include:

High School Student Scholarship awards: Merit-based awards provide financial assistance to graduating high school seniors for post-secondary education.

Boscobel Grand Army of the Republic Hall renovation- fund the construction of a full front porch to restore a historic element to the the existing building, one of the last GAR Hall buildings in the United States.

Boscobel Public Library Bookdrop: Provide a funding match to assist the library with the purchase of a new, dual sided book drop to allow for the return of audiovisual media as well as print materials to an outside drop. 

Boscobel Public Library Elevator Project- assist with fundraising for the city library to purchase and install a new elevator and automated door opener. This project will provide access to the lower level of the existing, historic  1925 Claude and Starke Public Library Building.

Boscobel Riverway Communities of Hope: Support families at risk in by providing quality of life and stability resources  during periods of transition. 

Boscobel Cemetery Columbarium: provide funding to the Cemetery Association for the maintenance and construction of a columbarium for the Boscobel community.

Boscobel Farmer's Market: provide financial support for the maintenance and operation of a local farmers' market to promote healthy living, local family farms,  and develop economic opportunities.

Wisconsin River Trails Organization: Supporting healthy living, eco tourism and sustainable economic development within our community and country,  though the planning and construction of an extended walking and biking trail between the Boscobel boat landing, Woodman and Wauzeka, conjoined with the Sanders' Creek trail. 

Boscobel Bird Dogs, Youth Trap Shooting League at Boscobel Sportsmans' Club: Supporting youth education, sportsmanship, firearms safety, responsibility and teamwork by providing safety equipment and other support for coaches and team. The Bird Dogs were the 2017 State Champion Youth Team.

Boscobel Community Ice Rink: Provide safe, supervised winter outdoor recreation and sport opportunities for youth and families.

Boscobel City Projects: Historic Blaine Theater upgrade, Key location highway signage, Sanders' Creekside Trail benches and trash cans.

Boscobel Hospital Projects and Foundation: Major emergency room upgrade,  Community mental health and wellness initiatives, Cancer treatment infusion center.

Various Community Food Banks: provide donations and funding to meet operational needs and program support.

Boscobel Rescue Squad and Fire Department: Equipment and protective clothing

School Sports Programs: Provide help to support special travel, uniform, and equipment costs.
